Conditions of participation
The criteria you must meet to take part in Prahova Ultra.
Semiautonomy
All events within the Bușteni Ultra Race are individual competitions held under a semi-self-sufficiency system, within the official time limits.
Semiautonomy means that each participant must be able to travel independent distance between two aid stations. This involves managing one's own nutrition, hydration, equipment and safety, allowing for quick adaptation to unforeseen or difficult situations (sudden weather changes, physical issues, exhaustion or injuries).
The basic rules of semi-autonomy
Every runner must wear and carry the complete mandatory equipment throughout the entire race. This cannot be changed, replaced or abandoned along the route.
Competition officials may check the equipment at any point during the race. Refusal or failure to cooperate with these checks will result in immediate exclusion from the competition.
Upon leaving each aid station, it is the participant's responsibility to ensure they have the necessary quantity of water and food to safely reach the next checkpoint.
It is strictly forbidden for unregistered persons to accompany participants along the route. The only exception is in the clearly demarcated and marked support zones near the feed stations.
Disposable cups are not provided at the refreshment points. Each participant must have their own reusable cup or vessel to stay hydrated.
Dropping litter outside designated areas (feed zones) is strictly prohibited and is punishable by disqualification.
