Cookie policy
What cookies are, how we use them on busteniultrarace.ro and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site saves in your browser when you visit it. They allow the site to „remember" actions and preferences (for example, the chosen language) for a certain period, so that you do not need to re-enter them on every visit. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage) are treated equivalently in this policy.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to make the site work properly, to remember your preferences, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only based on your consent.
3. Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary - ensures the basic functioning of the website (navigation, security, payment process). They cannot be disabled from the site.
- Preferences / functional - they retain choices such as the display language.
- Analytics - helps us understand how the website is used (pages visited, duration), in an aggregated form.
- Marketing - used, if applicable, for relevant communications (e.g. newsletter).
4. The cookies we use
The list below is for guidance; exact names and durations may vary depending on provider settings and the consent given.
| Supplier / cookie | Aim | Category |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress (wordpress_*, wp-settings) | Basic operation of the platform and the session. | Required |
| LiteSpeed Cache | Optimising page loading speed. | Required |
| TranslatePress (trp_*) | Remember the selected language (RO/EN). | Preferences |
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) | Website usage statistics, in aggregate form. | Analytics |
| Netopia Payments | Secure payment processing during the transaction. | Required |
| Brevo | Subscription management and newsletter distribution. | Marketing |
Registration takes place on the external platform 42km.ro, which may set its own cookies, governed by that platform’s policy.
5. How you control cookies
You can manage your preferences via the consent banner displayed on your first visit (where available) and at any time via your browser settings, where you can block or delete cookies:
6. What happens if you disable them?
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the site to function - without them, some parts of the site (including payment) may not work properly. Disabling analytical or marketing cookies does not affect navigation, but limits our ability to improve the experience.
7. Amendments
We may update this policy as we add or remove services. The current version is the one published here, with the date of the last update shown above.
